Traditional psychotherapy and hasidism. The dual character of the Enlightenment (as represented by rationalists and convulsionaries) is reflected in the Jewish community. Just as there is an institutionalised, environmental Jewish system of therapy, there is also a parallel therapy. Hasidism as a system of faith-healing, precedes its existence as a theological movement with its own rites.
