This article presents a training-action-research based on production by master students of health geography (Master Geography, Health, Environment and Territories co-accredited by the University of Paris Ouest -Nanterre la Défense / Paris East University -Créteil) of local health diagnoses corresponding with a social demand from local authorities. Two examples are specifically developed here : routine observation of the local health observatory in Nanterre and analysis of intra-urban disparities in access to screening for breast and colorectal cancer as part of a "tutored project" conducted throughout training.
