During these last years projects to build artificial reefs along the French coast have been increasing. Though the immersion of such reefs is regulated by a regional convention, their development has not been followed by the creation of legal tools adapted to the regulation and management of this type of structures. Operators and managers of the public maritime domain have been looking for an adequate legal status for these reefs.
