When we dispose for the same commune over a long period of time a census listing of names, it is possible to study the continuation of the family within the context of the household. Such a study can only be applied to rural communes because of their small size as well as the relatively high percentage of families residing in the same house for several generations. We first complete a table for each family, adapted to known methods to elaborate family listings. With this as a basis, we nextly build the communal table, which gives an overview and suggests certain aspects of mobility.
