Pearse Hutchinson, poète bilingue

The poetry of Pearse Hutchinson weds ideas and lyricism, in Irish and in English, while utilising highly surrealistic imagery, particularly in his interpretation and use of the traditional « Amhrân na mBréag » or « Lying Song ». Much travelled in Europe and a formidable linguist in his own right, Hutchinson is concerned with humanitarian ideals and explores in an original manner the themes of friendship, sexuality and social prejudice.
