Figurative iconography in Iron Age art from Mediterranean Gaul. Rapid progress in recent decades in our knowledge of the protohistory of southern France and more generally that of Europe now allows the figurative sculpture of the Midi to be reconsidered, in terms of its style, the techniques employed in producing it, and the chronology that can be deduced from some of the details that are depicted.
