Herméneutique philosophique et herméneutique biblique dans l'œuvre de Paul Ricœur

Our aim is to define the relationships between philosophical and biblical hermeneutics in the works of Paul Ricœur. One might think that the latter is but a limited application of the first. But a close study of the genesis of Ricœur' s hermeneutics (La symbolique du mal,) as well as its ultimate horizon (La poétique de la volonté serve,), allows a glimpse of the fact that the general theory of interpretation - developed during the work of the «second Ricœur» - finds in the interprétation of biblical symbols of evil not an accidentai but an essential one. This will then determine the orientations and finality of methodological researches. Biblical hermeneutics appears ultimately as the paradigm of general hermeneutics.Stevens Bernard.
