This article reviews about twenty recent publications devoted to the interpretation of the Song of Songs, from the Church Fathers and Mediaeval writers (monographs on patristic exegesis, translations of patristic and mediaeval commentaries, anthologies) up to modem exegetes (O. Keel, A. LaCocque, Tr. Longman III, G. Barbiero, Y. Zakovitch and Y. Simoens) with a look at the Targum of Canticles (recently translated into English) on the way. The panorama of interprétations is very varied.
