Abstract. - This paper is an attempt to show that geographical belief-systems are constituted by knowledges and cognitive processes dealing with space and milieu. The study of these belief-systems takes place in the field of ethnogeography, the methods of which are specific or not. The analyse of geographical "reality" should necessarily integrate belief-systems, as they induce geographical behaviours.
