Abstract. - This paper deals with the recurrent problem of the role of differential erosion and recent tectonism as regards to the individualization of the major scarps. The new approach, which is here propounded, consists in the comparison between the geometry of the main morphostructural features and the chronology of faulting in this recent mountain range.Résumé.
