Heidegger and Meister Eckhart. Heidegger was not only a faithful reader of the work of Eckhart, but he forged under the inspiration of the latter the most profound determinations of the direction of his thought. The present article attempts to examine two registers on which, from his first philosophic works of 1915 to his writings after 1950, were played out the references to Eckhart by Heidegger : the project of a phenomenology of religion, on one hand, and on the other hand the establishment of a new commonplace articulating « the thought of being and the expectation of God ».
