A preacher of Strasbourg at the time of John Tauler. The context in which is inscribed the apostolic action of Tauler is not yet well known. It is therefore of interest to analyse the sermons contained in the manuscript Cmg 6 of the Library of Munich. These homilies were pro- nounced in Strasbourg, certainly before 1362 and probably between 1349 and 1350. Their author has not yet been identified. It is not impossible that he was a member of the secular clergy. The historians of preaching have not accorded much attention to this document and they have generally judged it without indulgence.
