Imperial cult and religion in North Africa under the Principate. This paper takes into account two kinds of dedications : the dedications to the divinised emperors and to the imperial numen. From the Antonines to the Severi, the continuity between dead emperors and the living one evolves towards the divinisation of the latter, easily noticeable on the municipal level. In spite of their small number, the dedications to the imperial numen enable the different communities to convey a particular relationship to the Imperial power.Cette étude sur le culte impérial s’attache plus particulièrement aux dédicaces aux empereurs divinisés et à celles au numen de l’empereur ou des empereurs.
