How an archaeozoological approach can contribute to enlighten Late Glacial and Mesolithic hunting economies ? A method of analysis of the faunal remains worked out to document the procurement strategies of animal resources together with the pattern of land use and settlement mobility of these societies is first outlined. It includes the sequence of the stages involved in the prédation process.
