With the passing of time, it is now possible to comprehend the evolution of "regional air hubs " in France. This paper analyzes the process of spatial diffusion of the hub-and-spokes network model developed after airline deregulation. First introduced in France by a small private company in conjunction with a strategy of regional opening-up in central France, this innovation was imitated by other third-level airlines in the Center-East and alongside the Mediterranean coast.
