On June 14th 2002, the Israeli government decided to build up a fence in West Bank, owing to security reasons. For Palestinian people, this building is viewed as a segregation wall. With breaking West Bank's territorial continuity, it denies their most fundamental rights and destroys the possibility to create a viable Palestinian State. Are Israeli authorities intentions only based upon security matters ? This paper is trying to scrutinize this key question with an analysis on the fence's origins and its current and future characteristics.
