Diversité des exploitations agricoles en Grande Sologne

In the Sologne the holdings are dissimilar both by their size and the legal statute of their holders and by the range of the agricultural policies and their results. Many farmers carry on one or several non-agricultural occupations. Such a state can be explained by the decline of the agriculture facing the growth of the shooting and by strong differences between the holdings as regards the financial backings. The difficulties of the holdings are but an aspect of a regional problem arising from the unbalanced socio-economic structure which began to appear between the two world wars and which is acutely felt by the inhabitants nowadays.En Sologne voisinent des exploitations disparates tant par leurs tailles et le statut des exploitants que par la variété des orientations choisies et des résultats obtenus. Un nombre élevé d'exploitants pratique une ou plusieurs activités en dehors de l'agriculture. Cette situation s'explique par le recul de l'agriculture devant la chasse et par des disparités dans la disponibilité en capitaux. Le problème des exploitations n'est qu'un des éléments d'un problème régional, posé par le déséquilibre socio-économique qui a commencé à se manifester entre les deux guerres et qui est aujourd'hui vivement ressenti par les Solognots.Gillardot Pierre.
