Does the RSA activité (revenu de solidarité active)– a type of income support– target poor workers according to the Eurostat definition ? The «in-work » category of the RSA (revenu de solidarité active) is presented as a weapon in the fight against in-work poverty. This paper assesses the extent to which the RSA activité benefits poor workers as defined by Eurostat. After a theoretical and statistical presentation of the differences between poor workers and those eligible for «in work » RSA, an assessment is made of the way in which «in work » RSA is targeted, illustrated by test cases.
