Trends in the division of household tasks after the birth of a child. Despite the vast influx of women on the labour market from the 1960s onwards and progress in the equality ‘ norm’, the sharing of household tasks is still very unequal among couples. In addition, the division of household tasks is not static, and the gender gap tends to widen over time or in the wake of family or career events.
