The article interrogates the current relevance of the six points of contact between theatre and anthropology defined in 1985 by the author. By means of critical tools characteristic of the disciplinary hybridity of Performance Studies (anthropology, medicine, history), it frames as performance so-called “ indigenous” and prehistoric ritual practices representative of an “ embodied knowledge” left out or distorted by the positivist outlook of Western science, and pleads for a methodological adaptation to this object.L''article interroge la pertinence actuelle des six points de contact entre théâtre et anthropologie définis en 1985 par l''auteur, Richard Schechner.
