Time and space partake of a same dimension, SpaceTime which takes on five categories allowing to analyse the world : the context of events, the meaning given by the history of specific groups, the special historical system of a space, the non-spatial and non-temporal characteristics, the obvious specificity of spatiotemporal breaks. Dismissing or integrating these different spatiotemporal categories, social sciences got themselves organised at the end of the 19h century between idiogra- phic epistemology and nomothetic one, except the geography, which forms itself beyond the distinctions particularity because of its scholar character.
