Two photographic documents in the archives of A. Zachos, dating from the years 1912-1917 and published in 2002, shed new light on the epigraphy of a sarcophagus in the museum of Byzantine civilisation in Salonica. This monumental sarcophagus, which belonged to a certain Theodore, bears a very badly preserved metrical (dodecasyllabic) inscription. When the inscription was edited in 2000, the author attributed the sarcophagus to theodore Kerameas (13th century), a former bishop of ochrid and native of Salonica. this attribution would appear to be confirmed by the photographs of Zachos, in which much of the missing text of the inscription can be read.Deux documents photographiques des archives A.
