The geography of diaspora and the Armenian, Jewish and Greek communities of the former USSR. — The diaspora phenomenon is becoming a new topic of research in Russia, in keeping with the wide population movements which have resulted from the collapse of the former USSR. Research into this subject requires the capacity to conceptualise and make relevant comparisons.
