The vision of the World through French geography school books in World War II period. — The analysis of geography school books as they were used in France just before World War II gives the picture of an organised vision of the World seen as two parallel superposed sets (the World around Europe and the Empire around France) with France as both the centre of the World and a country turned towards the outside World.
