Sampling strategy of integrated ground data for remote sensing. — When the integration of ground data with remote sensing is concerned, decisions about the design of the sampling scheme are of great importance. One of the problems is to choose a kind of probability sampling. This paper first introduces the advantages of the unaligned systematic sampling in the case of autocorrelated satellite data. It then determines the optimal size and shape of the sampling units as a response to the resolution of the imagery and the variability of the terrain. Finally, the minimum dimensions of the sample are estimated.Lors de l'intégration de données de terrain à l'étude d'images satellitaires, il est nécessaire de prendre des décisions concernant le pl...
