Over a hyper-turbulent period, an e-business roadmap was developed in an attempt to make good an e-business vision and to deliver unrealized strategic and operational expectations of a Multi National Enterprise and its Business Units. Using the original resources based e-business roadmap material, a retrospective analysis was undertaken which applied Pavlou and Al Sawy's (2011) dynamic capability model. The dynamic capability model was applied to the material to articulate the model and make comparisons with the resources based approach. This may be of interest to many organizations as they ponder their ongoing identification and implementation of new capabilities such as e-business as they respond to their turbulent environments
