The pit n° 16001 was discovered during the excavations of the Bivan site at L'Albenc (Isere). This huge layer of two hectares showed a complex series of structures (pits, post wedges, walls, drainage) for the essential datable from the Augustan period till the 10th century A.D. For the Iron Age, although the probings have shown very diffused indications about the site (fragments of rolled ceramics), only this pit could be judged. The excavation turned out rich and varied ceramic remains, some fragments of flint scattered by the action of the fire, as well as the remains of flooring of a hearth.La fosse 16001 a été découverte à l'occasion de la fouille du site du Bivan à L'Albenc (Isère).
