Agricultural works carried out in a field located in the plain of the Corconne district (Gard) allowed the discovery of a sculpture in the round apart from any other archeological context. The statue of the Hermaic type, which has traces of mortise attachement in its lying position, represents the bust of a man whose face is mutilated. The right hand holds an object which can hardly be identified, and the left arm is replaced by the hinder limb of a horse.
