Abstract

In 1989 the excavation of the dromos well in Glanum yielded five dedications on marble : the two first ones were addressed to Marcus Aurelius and Lucius Verus in 166 ; the three other ones to Septimus Severus, Julia Domna and Caracalla probably in 198. After an attempt at localizing the sites of the monuments on the Forum through the study of remains of pedestals, Severian dedications bearing the signature Glanienses are questionned : up to now, only the signature of Glanici was known. The status of Glanum is then questionned ; it was traditionnally considered as being part of the Roman colony of Aries or the Latin colony of Avignon.
