The author reveals the remains of two ancient roadway bridges, practically unpublished, which appear to be on the road between Fréjus and Riez in Haute-Provence. The fïrst, located at trie entrance of the Baudinard gorges, on the Verdon, is today drowned beneath the waters of the artificial lake Sainte-Croix-du-Verdon (A.H.P.); there is only one pier of its stonework left. The second is located at the very heart of the Gallo-Roman town of Riez (A.H.P.) and was used to cross a stream subject to sudden flooding, the Colostre ; only the southern abutment remains of the stonework discovered in recent excavations.
