Linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) are synthesized from ethylene and ?-olefins (1-butene, 1-hexene, 1-octene) using either Ziegler-Natta or metallocene catalysts. The linear backbone of LLDPE contains short chain branches such as methyl, ethyl and butyl. The properties are determined by the content and distribution of short chain branching (SCB) [1]
