Eléments traditionnels et évolution récente dans l'oasis du Dra (Maroc)

In the las few years most of the north-African oases have been subject to profound economic and social changes. Nevertheless traditional elements persist until to-day as can be shown by examples of the Draa-oasis. The social development actually is caracterized by a significant rural exodus to the cities of northern Morocco. The nomads of the Hammada, on the other hand, show an increasing tendency to sedentarize. With the application of new agricultural techniques and irrigation systems, both possible since the construction of the Hassan ad Dakhil Dam near Ouarzazate in 1972, a total abandonment of traditional agriculture and nomadisme can be expected for the near future.Au cours des dernières années, les oasis de l'Afrique septentrionale ont connu de profonds changements économiques et sociaux. Cependant beaucoup des structures traditionnelle* persistent, comme l'exemple de l'oasis du Draa le prouve. L'évolution sur le plan social se caractérise actuellement par une importante émigration vers le Nord du pays. En même temps, les nomades des Hammadas se sédentarisent en très grand nombre. Avec la construction du barrage Hassan ad Dakhil près de Ouarzazate, qui permettra de nouvelles méthodes de travail et d'irrigation, un changement profond de l'agricultrue et du nomadisme est à attendre dans un proche avenir.Pletsch Alfred.
