La clientèle des ports de plaisance de la Côte d'Azur

SOMMARY — The clientele of the ports for pleasure-boating on the French Riviera. The author lays the stress on the extraordinary development of pleasure-boating on the French Riviera ; a great deal of these ports, especially private ones, can be found there. The clientele of these resorts is analysed from different points of view : first according to the type of resort, and according to the geographical origin of its clientele (whether from the region itself, from France or from foreign countries). In the large ports fort pleasure-boating which boast of an international clientele, a great number of foreign luxury boats can be seen (for example the port of Canto in Cannes). On the other hand, there are some small ports which only receive a local clientele, and « cités marines » which are both quite different from the big ones. Among the foreign clientele, England is one of the most important, followed by Panama, Belgium, Italy and Germany.
