Morphogenèse holocène, géosystèmes et anthropisation sur la montagne Sainte-Victoire

This paper is based on the sedimentological and geochemical study of ten sections or drillings made in the Sainte-Victoire mountain piedmonts. It confirms the existence of a prehistoric holocene low terrace that as been probably cut down from Subboreal. After the relatively stable Roman period phase, the medieval very low terrace built up; the following cutting down phase is badly dated. The complex interplay of anthropisation is not perceptible before the High Roman Empire period but morphogenesis remains controled by the subtle fluctuations of the climate, in particular by intensity and seasonnal distribution of rain.Ce travail est basé sur l'étude sédimentologique et géochimique de dix coupes ou sondages effectués dans les piémonts de la montagne Sainte-Victoire. Il confirme l'existence d'une basse terrasse holocène préhistorique entaillée probablement à partir du Subboréal. Après la relative stabilité de la période romaine, la très basse terrasse médiévale s' accumule; la phase d'entaille qui l'individualise est mal datée. Le jeu complexe de l'anthropisation n'est perceptible qu'à partir du Haut Empire Romain mais la morphogenèse reste contrôlée par des fluctuations subtiles du climat, en particulier l'intensité et la répartition saisonnière des précipitations.Ballais Jean-Louis, Crambes Alain.
