Three workshops made Le Mans participate in the revival of French stained glass manufacturing in the 19th century. They are Fialex's shop, a glass painter from the "Manufacture Royale de Sèvres"; Lusson's shop, that worked with the English pattern painter Henry Gérente ; and the Carmel manufacture Eugène Hucher took over in 1875. The production of these workshops, mostly to be seen in Western France, was considerable.
