This article proposes to approach urban public spaces like objects of territorial conflict. First of all, the dominant approaches as regards public space, within the scientific and professional production show at the same time political actions. Secondly, it seeks to develop tools of regulation, aesthetics, user-friendiness and consensus, making the existence of neighbourhood conflict (urban fights of the Seventies).
