Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) decision logic have been effectively applied by commercial and military aviation industry for over four decades to develop maintenance program for new aircraft and its systems. It is used to analyse the reliability, maintainability and safety of the aircraft. In this case study, the analysis of aircraft engine FMEA emphasis on engine structure level, based on its major modules and functions. This paper presents the analysis procedure of FMEA with the result worksheets using RCMcost Simulation Software.
