SUMMARY The marine deposits of the Elorn Valley are found from 130 m high to 35 m below present sea level. The oldest ones are likely to be Pliocene and were laid down during the levelling of the Léon surface by the sea, after the valley cut which occurred before the Pliocene. The newer ones are related to marine still- stands at approximately 75, 55, 35, and 6 metres above the datum. The Elorn River built several terraces, the oldest one being as old as Pliocene. They are generally eustatic, and three of them were recognized along lower course of the river.RÉSUMÉ Les dépôts marins de la vallée de l'Elorn s'échelonnent entre 130 mètres d'altitude et 35 mètres en dessous du niveau marin actuel.
