Soviet policy for fighting against economic violations of the law as seen through the archives of the Party Committee in the Sverdlovsk Region (1965-1982). Given the paucity of available sources, little is known about the Soviet state's policy actions under Brezhnev. Till now, two types of studies have been made of the policy for fighting against economic violations of the law (misappropriation of socialist property, private business, speculation, corruption, etc.). The first type has focused on the nature, ideology and organization of this policy. The second type has concentrated on violations and violators ; and several studies devoted to the "shadow", "parallel" or "underground" economy have emphasized the vitality and social diversity ...
