Evolution of the mental representation of a route itinerary in children from 5 to 11 years When subjects listen to a text describing a spatial configuration, they build up a representation of the space thus described. How can this representation be accounted for ? This study aims at estimating the characteristics of this mental representation through various indicators related to text memorisation and understan- ding. The developmental approach we adopt leads us to compare these characteristics and to analyse their evolution in subjects from 5 to 11 years old.
