The aim of the present work is the developmental study of possessive adjectives and pronouns. Three groups of children aged from 3;8 to 5;8 years were examined. They were asked to select one object characterised by a possessive adjective or pronoun and to give it to a receiver that was referred to by a personal pronoun. For all age groups, utterances in which the possessive adjective or pronoun is in the third person (his) and the personal pronoun is in the first person (me) produce more errors than utterances in which the possessive adjective or pronoun is in the same person as the personal pronoun.Le but de ce travail est l'étude génétique de la compréhension des adjectifs et pronoms possessifs.
