Contribution à l'histoire des œuvres morales d'Aristote : les Testimonia

As we know, the Corpus Aristotelicumcontains three ethical works : the Nicomachean Ethics, the Eudemian Ethics and the Magna Moralia. What is the relationship between them ? The author seeks to reply to this question while keeping strictly to what we are told in the Testimonia relative to the history of the ethics. The question here is exclusively that of describing by means of external criticism the formal growth of the ethical works which tradition attributes to Aristotle. Only the corroboration of internal criticism would allow of a pronouncement on their authenticity.Le Corpus Aristotelicum comporte, comme on sait, trois œuvres morales : l'Éthique à Nicomaque, l'Éthique à Eudème et les Magna Moralia. Quels rapports entretiennent-elles ? L'auteur cherche une réponse à cette question en s'en tenant rigoureusement aux enseignements des Testimonia relatifs à l'histoire des éthiques. Il s'agit donc exclusivement de décrire par critique externe la genèse formelle des œuvres morales que la tradition prête à Aristote.
