Fabric handle has been recognized as one of the most important performance attributes for apparel fabrics. It has been defined as a perceived overall fabric aesthetic quality that reflects the fabrics' mechanical and physical properties (Kim and Slaten, 1999). In order to objectively quantify fabric hand properties, many researchers have focused on the development of testing instruments and methods since the 1970s. The most important instrumental approaches are kawabata evaluation system (KES) and fabric assurance by simple testing (FAST)
