The main ceramic studies for the Roman period in Cyprus are concentrated on the south-western coast of the island, leaving our knowledge of the economic relations between the eastern cities of Cyprus and the Mediterranean still relatively poor. A comparative study of the terra sigillata vessels from Paphos, Amathus and Kition, along the southern coast of Cyprus, provides new information and reveals the following patterns: imports from the western Mediterranean and the Aegean reached the western part of the island, whereas in the eastern part we have mainly products from the Levant.
