A remarkable collection of painted pottery, dating from the Late Bronze Age and Early Iron Age, has been discovered in the Camp Allaric settlement at Aslonnes (Vienne, France). This pottery has been studied with macroscopic and microscopic methods, in order to determine the nature of the physico-chemical elements used as dyes, and to examine many technological aspects of its production. The pottery is of local origin.
