Anthony Welch. Going global? The process of internationalisation of Australian universities and the world crisis. By making a clear distinction between internationalisation and globalisation, this article underlines the negative effects brought about by globalisation on the evolution of Australian universities. It thus attemps to demonstrate that, beyond internationalisation, which favors an international and intercultural dimension, globalisation is a multifaceted process in which economic constraints have educational policies pay a heavy toll.
