Structural transition and socio-political constraint: what outcome for central european agricultures ? Socio-political constraint is those which by its freezing effects could act upon the transition process towards market economy. This study intend to analyse structural factors which hinder agriculture from restructuring, like the legacy of agrarian structures existing before collectivisation, and the inertia of the collectivist agrarian model.
