Foreign markets accessible to beef and the conditions of taking advantage of them In Western Europe, beef production has difficulty in keeping abreast of consumption. The deficits is considerable : for 1975 it is estimated at 850.000 tons for western Europe and a 600.000 tons for the E.E.C. In order to attempt to satisfy European demand, French beef-production must, on the one hand, adapt its types of production to foreign demand and, on the other, improve its production, slaughtering and commercialization structures. It is on these two conditions that the French potential in fodder and stock will be able to take advantage of a very favourable situation.
