Etude paléoenvironnementale du Marais de Distré (Saumurois) : géoarchéologie d'une zone humide depuis le Préboréal / Paleoenvironmental study of the marshland m Distré (Saumurois, France) ; geoarcheohgy of a humid zone since the preboreal period.

The geoarcheological approach to the marshland situated the valley provides a understanding of the history of the evolution and exploitations of an area. From the study of a paleontological core (Holocene period) we use several analytical methods -palynology, sedimentology, archeology and archives- so as to result in a more accurate analysis of environmental changes. The humid zone slowly develops by going through slight variations m the water-table level as well as in the rate of the flow. Only one significant dynamic rupture resulting in the erosion of Atlantic sediments is identified. The development of an alder peat-bog throughout the Subboreal and a part of the Subatlantic periods characterizes the stability of this environment. The phenomenon of anthropization remains unsignificant during the Gallo-Roman period on the surrounding hills that have obviously been deforested. While, from the Middle Ages onwards, it seems to be mainly linked to animal husbandery.L'approche géoarchéologique du marais de basse vallée du Douet à Distré (Maine-et-Loire) permet de mieux appréhender l'histoire de la dynamique et des usages d'un territoire. Partant de l'étude d'un sondage à chronologie longue (l'Holocène) on croise les modes d'analyse (palynologie, sédimentologie, archéologie, archives historiques) afin de parvenir à une plus juste lecture des changements environnementaux. La zone humide évolue lentement, avec de faibles fluctuations du niveau phréatique et de l'écoulement ; seule une rupture dynamique importante entraînant l'érosion des sédiments de l'Atlantique et du début du Subboréal est identifiée. Durant le Subboréal et une partie du Subatlantique se développe une tourbière à aulnes qui reflète la stabilité de ce milieu. Sur les coteaux environnants, manifestement déboisés, l'anthropisation reste discrète à l'époque gallo-romaine et semble être surtout liée à l'élevage à partir du Moyen Age.Cyprien Anne Laure, Carcaud Nathalie, Visset Lionel.
