Micoquian sites spanning a vast geographical area have been subject to recent discoveries and new investigations and interpretations, such as at Korolevo, Ukraine. Micoquian industries -defined as non-levallois and non-laminar- contain a high total of bifacial pieces (the "Micoquian bifaces") as well as tools of foliate form and particular types of knife.
